It started as a dream. West Valley College Photography Professor Brian Tramontana dreamed of visiting Cuba to capture its culture, people, architecture, and landscape before they change forever. With the Maverick Photographers and his talented group of photography friends, Brian started organizing a trip to the island nation.
Unfortunately, Brian passed away suddenly and unexpectedly before the trip. The rest of the group decided to proceed with the journey, in part to honor Brian and try to fulfill his vision.
Maverick Photographers and Friends visited Cuba between January 17-26, 2017. Brian was there in spirit as his ideals of camaraderie and community were alive and well with this group of diverse photographers.
Please enjoy this selection of images from our trip!
Our prints were on display for six months at one of Brian's favorite restaurants – Sushi 2-2 Train in Saratoga, CA.
