I've dabbled in photography since I was a teen. I've always wanted to share how I see the world with others and photography provides me that opportunity. After a career in tech in Silicon Valley, I was looking for a new avocation and hoping to develop my artistic skills that had been sidelined. I decided to take a photography class, and Brian Tramontana was my first teacher. In large part, due to his enthusiasm and encouragement of my work, I continued my photographic pursuits.
My background in earth science, tech, and design influences my work today. My images have a strong graphical aesthetic, often with clean lines and vibrant colors. I examine themes of solitude, introspection, and patterns and processes created by man and nature. I am habitually on the lookout for the unusual and whimsical.
